Dr Elisabeth Farhat is a clinical and laboratory haematologist dedicated to delivering precise, evidence-based care for patients with blood disorders and haematological malignancies. She combines advanced diagnostic expertise with personalised clinical management to provide comprehensive and holistic treatment.
Dr Farhat obtained her MBBS from the University of Western Sydney in 2012 and completed specialist training in clinical and laboratory haematology through the Westmead Hospital network in 2023. She holds dual fellowships with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia, and currently practices at both the Sydney Adventist Hospital and Westmead Hospital.
Her clinical focus includes adult haematological malignancies such as lymphoma, chronic lymphocytic leukaemia, myeloma, and myeloproliferative and myelodysplastic disorders. She has extensive experience in clinical trials and the use of contemporary targeted therapies.
Dr Farhat completed a Master of Medicine in Genomics and Precision Medicine at the University of Sydney in 2025. She integrates molecular and genomic advances into routine practice, applying evolving diagnostic and therapeutic insights to tailor treatment strategies and optimise outcomes for each individual patient.
She also has a special interest in perioperative haematology, including the management of deep vein thrombosis, anticoagulation optimisation, and complex bleeding and clotting disorders in surgical settings. Her broader expertise includes haemoglobinopathies and obstetric haematology.
